This is aromatically similar to the straight Volnay though while I like the slightly better complexity the nose isn’t quite as fresh

the tannins are velvety on the attack and give grip that lasts through the palate

It is now in the USA and showing in a rather forward fashion for Taylor's

this wine is a blend of mostly Mencía with Caiño and Bastardo

David Duband, Nuits Saint Georges Pruliers Brut Zero dusty earthThis isnt quite as spicy but it is earthier and more Nuits in basic character with more size, weight and richness as well though the supporting tannins are less refined on the driving, powerful and serious finish. I like the concentration and overall depth and this should amply reward extended keeping. Excellent. (90 93) 2027+
