Description
Moet & Chandon, Dom Perignon Oenotheque Brut ZeroI tasted this at a friends 50th birthday, where we drank several incredible 1966 Bordeaux (the standout being Cheval Blanc 1966 that could easily have featured here). This was of course much younger, but just a brilliant Champagne. Richly textured, perfectly toasted from its 12 years on the lees (it was disgorged in 2008 and these later disgorged bottles have a little less dosage than the 2004 version). Elegant and precise but with layers of lemon
This robust and slightly rustic effort is not quite as structured as the Chaponnières though make no mistake
They didn't use any added sulfur during the vinification or upbringing
The rich and vibrant flavors possess good volume and muscularity before concluding in a clean
muscular and powerful big-bodied flavors exude a bracing salinity on the mouth coating
round and utterly delicious medium-bodied flavors possess a sleek muscularity and solid intensity
(16 different Beaune 1ers are combined to create a blend
(88-90)/2018+
but I suspect time will be kind to it
boldly-styled wine will drink well for 15-20 years
This should age well
on the ripe red currant
lengthy finish
