Here the almost unbelievably complex nose is notably more restrained than that of the Demoiselles with its pure white rose

I like the depth though the dusty finish is somewhat short at present

A wonderfully fresh nose combines notes of just sliced green apple and citrus confit with those of essence of dried flowers and a whisper of exotic tea. There is excellent punch and power to the larger scaled flavors that display a touch of muscle on the austere, serious and balanced finale. While the finish does flirt with rusticity, I suspect that this will gradually dissipate with bottle age.
