" and then go on and on about who and why they were having it and we would laugh and it became a family inside joke:) I pass these lovely doves everyday on my evening walk and decided I must paint them and so i did:) I wonder what they are celebrating

Hwy 30 between Portland Oregon and Astoria is an amzing drive and this is one of those eye candy places that has been calling me to stop and paint it

they are translucent and clean with lots of contrast and interest while the bright blue sky has that big expansive energy that wide open spaces hold even if there are artifacts like mountains occupying some of it
