Fernand & Laurent Pillot, Meursault Caillerets other_regions_italy The 2011 Blanc de BlancsRiper and ever so vaguely exotic notes include those of white peach, cool floral, pear and citrus on the nicely spicy nose that are trimmed in moderate wood. Unusually, there is a hint of quinine on the beautifully delineated and stony medium weight flavors that culminate in a citrusy, clean, markedly dry and mildly austere finale. This beautifully delineated effort is clearly built to age and is going to need at least 4 to 6 years of patience first.
