Kopke 10 Year Old Tawny Port Events Bold and structured with blackPicked at peak ripeness, the grapes are destemmed and crushed, then gently macerated to draw out colour, tannins and aroma. Fermentation takes place in traditional vats, the lagares, at a controlled 2830C with regular mixing. When the must reaches the right level of sweetness (baum), grape spirit is added to stop fermentation and create the fortified wine. This tawny is a blend of wines from different harvests to achieve the classic balance of flavour
